These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your use of our website (the “Website”), and our EcoCourier mobile application (the “App”). Together, the Website and App are referred to as the “Platform”.
By downloading, installing, or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms and our other policies (including but not limited to our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, Cancellation Policy, and Shipping Policy) as updated from time to time. If you do not agree, you must not use our Platform or Services.
These Terms apply to:
Individuals who are 18 years or older.
Corporate entities using the Platform for logistics purposes.
EcoCourier provides logistics and courier services by connecting senders with our delivery team.
Prices, delivery timelines, and service terms are displayed on the Platform before confirming an order.
While EcoCourier strives to provide reliable services, delivery timelines are estimates and may vary due to external factors (traffic, weather, regulatory restrictions, or unforeseen delays).
EcoCourier is not responsible for delays, losses, or damages caused by incorrect recipient details, improperly packaged items, or prohibited goods.
To use our services, you must create an account and provide accurate personal information, which may include:
Full name
Phone number
Email address
Delivery and pickup addresses
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities carried out under your account.
Payments for services must be made through approved methods (e.g., mobile money, debit/credit card, or other available options).
Online payments are processed securely through trusted third-party providers. EcoCourier does not store your card or banking information.
You must only use payment methods lawfully owned by you. EcoCourier disclaims liability for unauthorized use of cards or accounts.
Deliveries will only be made to the address provided at the time of placing the order.
If the delivery address is changed after order confirmation, EcoCourier reserves the right to cancel the delivery or apply additional fees.
You must provide accurate directions and ensure someone is available to receive the delivery.
If delivery cannot be completed due to your error (e.g., wrong address, no one available to accept), the order will be marked as delivered, and no refund will be issued. Responsibility passes to you once the order is confirmed as delivered.
You agree not to use the Platform for unlawful or harmful purposes. Prohibited activities include (but are not limited to):
Using the Platform in violation of applicable laws.
Posting or transmitting harmful, obscene, defamatory, or fraudulent content.
Impersonating another person or entity.
Attempting to hack, disrupt, or misuse the Platform.
Sending or requesting delivery of prohibited or illegal items (e.g., drugs, weapons, hazardous materials).
EcoCourier reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts engaging in prohibited conduct.
Orders may be canceled before dispatch according to our Cancellation Policy.
Once dispatched, cancellations are not allowed.
EcoCourier may cancel orders due to:
Items classified as prohibited.
Inaccurate or incomplete delivery details.
Service unavailability in the requested area.
EcoCourier reserves the right to modify these Terms and related policies at any time. Updates will be posted on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
EcoCourier shall not be liable for:
Losses caused by incorrect information provided by the user.
Delays outside our reasonable control (traffic, strikes, natural disasters, etc.).
Loss or damage resulting from prohibited or improperly packaged items.
Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Our maximum liability is limited to the value of the service fee paid for the delivery in question.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
